Rocklahoma had some good times... and some bad times this year.  The weather was definitely on the bad list LOL  It was so hot and humid, I actually felt sick the first half of the show.  But by Saturday was feeling pretty good and had a great time hanging with Jackyl and helping them with their show.  I met up with a young hottie 20 year old and had some fun with him in my motorhome too!  All in all it was fun, I just hope that next year that the weather is more tolerable.

So my weight loss is not really doing much... if anything I feel like I'm putting weight on!  Ugh!  But I'm still doing what I can.  Hubby and I went out for our 30 minute walk today.  We had fallen off the walking wagon for a while, but are going to get back into the swing of things.  Our weekly schedule is going to be as follows...

Mon:  Hubby bikes to work and home.  Faith works out on Wii Fit, with heavy emphasis on cardio and Jack knife sit-ups

Tue:  Hubby and Faith minimum 30 minute walk

Wed:  Hubby bikes to work and home.  Faith works out on Wii Fit, with heavy emphasis on cardio and Jack knife sit-ups

Thur:  Hubby and Faith minimum 30 minute walk

So that's the goal... I think I have another week or two on my wii fit goal to see how good I did.  I will post up my results when it tells me I'm at the end of the 4 weeks...

I've only been putting it off for years because I want it to be perfect!  Well I am not going to procrastinate any longer... Now when I say I have been procrastinating... it doesn't mean I haven't done anything.  I have been collecting favorite photos and frames for the past couple years in preparation for the "Big Hang" LOL

So tonight is the night... I plan to at least get the photos in frames... then will work on getting them on the wall in an order I like :)

Some things happened over the weekend that made me sit down and seriously want to make a change.  It's been happening over the past year, and while it's not hugely out of control, something does need to be done now, so it doesn't continue happening.  As we age, especially women, we struggle with weight gain.  Fact of life.  I have noticed the past two years have not been kind to me in the weight gain department.  My family background is Italian and Belguim on my Mom's side, and the women tend to be very hippy, big butt, big stomach type of women.  So far in my life, up to age 28, I have done quite well with things.  But as soon as I hit 29... and then 30... things started changing quickly!  Extra pounds just kept appearing!  And like I said, while I'm not huge or big, I am definitely heavier than I have ever been, and that is not sitting well with me LOL

It hit home at the track this weekend...  a few close guy friends... asked Jack...  "Is everything all right with Faith'?  He said yes... why.  They said because we were worried something was wrong because it looks like she has put on a lot of weight. 

Now while it may seem rude for them to have said something... and it did make me feel really bad... it also made me look in the mirror and realize I should start working out more.  I should try to limit my calorie intake.  I should try to eat more healthy.  

So now... with my limited knowledge of working out and nutrition...  I am trying to make a change.  I want to be held accountable.  And I know there are women out there who are going to shriek at this moment... yes ladies... I am going to post my weight for the world to read!  Oh the horror!  At the moment I am weighing in at 140 lbs.  20 lbs over what my doctor says is the ideal normal weight for my height.  I have set a goal of losing 8 lbs in a month.  Yesterday was the first day of my workout routine.  I have a Wii fit, and while it is 110 degrees here in Arizona, which means there is no way in hell I am working out outdoors, I will be using my Wii fit to help with my goal.  I am aiming for 5 times a week on the wii fit for at least 30 minutes, using a combo of yoga, strength training, and aerobic exercises.  I am also changing my eating habits.  I am trying to eat 5 smaller meals/snacks a day, instead of fewer larger ones.

So if you are struggling at the moment... or want a buddy to "workout" with... or to help motivate eachother...  feel free to post up your weight and goals and we can keep eachother on track. 

Life does get in the way of things and we're all busy.... but I find if you add your workout to your daily To-Do checklist, it makes you more accountable to actually get it done and checked off your list each day...
